Child Care Centers
Opening a child care center is an opportunity
to develop your own small business while providing an
important service to families in our community. Caring
for children from infancy through school age supports
their growing developmental needs and offers them a
safe, nurturing, healthy, and stimulating environment.
Centers are licensed by the state to care for groups
of more than twelve children. Staff must meet educational
requirements. The facility must meet building, fire
and zoning codes. Specific adult/child ratios are required
in child care centers. (For more info, please
see Child Care Licensing Regulations: Title
5, Title
22)
