Since 1976, Child Action, Inc. has been dedicated to promoting the healthy growth and development of children and families living in Sacramento County by offering services that include child care resource and referrals, child care subsidies, recruitment and training of child care professionals, and parent education and support.

Just look at some of our accomplishments this past year:

• Provided more than 15,000 children with child care services.
• Provided 11,000 referrals to families seeking child care in licensed family child care homes and centers.
• Assisted over 9,000 low-income families meet their child care expenses.
• Conducted over 172 child care provider training workshops in the community, and 38 of those workshops were conducted in languages other than English.
• Enrolled 6,500 child care providers onto our program.
• Reached over 15,000 people in our community through presentations and outreach efforts.
• Handled over 7,000 technical assistance and information calls.
